Communities

“Preserve always the spirit of the family, of joy, joy which makes even the walls of the convent smile, your convents must be a house of “charity” where all the sisters live united in one body and one soul under the mantle of our Lady”
(Ven. Bp. Stephen Ferrando).
Community life is fundamental to our vocation as Missionary Sisters. We pledge to build up the community to which we belong. Our community life is characterized by prayer, life in common, family spirit, hospitality, observance of rules, deep faith, sharing our gifts and talents etc. Our founder says that nothing better adorns a sister than sanctity of life by which she becomes an example to all. We are a praying, loving and apostolic community pledged to build the body of Christ and strive for personal growth and holiness of each member.
Mary Immaculate Province has 21 communities spread across 12 dioceses. The multicultural nature of our communities adds beauty and grandeur to our common living and deepens our spirit of warm hospitality, fidelity, openness, mutual trust, and sincere dialogue. Together, we strive to embody a living witness of harmony and fraternity in our missionary vocation.
