FORMATION

“I have chosen you to be with me and to be sent out”
(Mk. 3:16).

Formation is a journey of discipleship in Jesus Christ, aimed at shaping the whole person in His image. It involves embracing the mind and heart of Christ; His values, attitudes, and way of life. This transformative process prepares individuals to participate fully in the mission of the Church, in harmony with the unique charism and spirit of the Congregation.
The purpose of MSMHC formation is to foster the holistic development of each individual, enabling her to lead an integrated and harmonious life, relate effectively with others, adapt to diverse environments, and remain steadfast in her commitment to the apostolate entrusted to her. The formation process is structured in progressive stages, each designed to nurture and support the personal and spiritual growth of the formees, helping them persevere in their vocation as MSMHC. It includes an orientation year, completion of Higher Secondary Education for those who require it, followed by the Post-PU (Aspirantate), Postulancy, and Novitiate. In the process of teaching, accompanying and helping to walk the Master’s way, the human formators are only instruments in the hand of the Master. The Holy Spirit is the principal agent of formation. Everyone, be it a formator or formee, is still in the process of achieving perfect ‘union with God’.

Formation of individuals at all levels is a vital need for the personal growth of all the members and for overall growth of the congregation. Our formation is a lifelong process and we keep learning and growing each day through prayer, work, study and experiences of life. The junior sisters are given ample opportunities for their growth through regular animation, seminar, batch meet, personal follow up, retreat, zonal wise recollection and animation both offline and online etc. Ongoing formation of perpetually professed sisters is enhanced through renewal programmes, batch meet, personal meetings, short term courses, seminars, retreats etc.
